ZYX Challenge in Denver, CO
Friday, April 21 at Reading in the City (Denver Academy)
Are you up for the Challenge? Try your best to recite the alphabet backwards in 45 seconds or less without assistance and be sure to post your video on social media. Want to make a bigger difference? Nominate friends to participate as well and continue to spread Dyslexia awareness. Not the type to be in front of the camera? That's alright. Monetary donations can be made right here to support the IDA, teacher education, and our mission to help every child read.
1) Record yourself attempting to recite the alphabet backwards in under 45 seconds. Use the verbiage below and be sure to challenge at least 2 new individuals!
“I am taking the ZYX Challenge to dispel myths and raise money for dyslexia education. I have been challenged by (name if applicable) to say the alphabet backwards in less than 45 seconds... Z, Y, X…”
“It’s a myth that people with dyslexia see words backwards. This challenge shows how difficult it is for them to learn to read. They CAN learn to read with what’s known as Structured Literacy.”
“Now I challenge ____ and ____ to take the ZYX Challenge or make a donation to the International Dyslexia Association.”
2) Post your video on Facebook! Be sure to add the following to your post so the individuals you challenge can participate.
Take the ZYX Challenge and/or donate today!
