Team 1 in 5 Depend on Me
Welcome to our TeamQuest Page!
Shannon Suess and Lisa Hamilton are excited to represent the Richardson ISD dyslexia department and fundraise for the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) to help create a better future for every child and adult who struggles with dyslexia and other reading difficulties…because reading changes lives! Shannon and Lisa are lacing up their running shoes and running the Rock N Roll Half Marathon in San Antonio on December 3rd in honor of all students with dyslexia.
IDA is the authoritative source of current information about dyslexia and other reading challenges. IDA focuses on on educating parents, teachers and professionals about dyslexia, assuring that structured literacy is embedded in educator training and providing the opportunity for all people to learn to read.
The goal is for all stakeholders to realize their full potential and advance our quest by responding immediately to people at their point of need with information or referral to available and accessible resources.
We articulate with impatience and clarity that reading is a civil right. We are committed to educating the general public about the economic impact of learning differences and other negative impacts of dyslexia on society.
Please consider a donation to our team in support of the IDA and their efforts.
Together we can create a world where everyone can read!
